Hannya mouth

Leon's mouth becomes she ping like Hannya when he is playing with a mouse you.

He is always too cute to words. We sometimes call him an angel.

Tunnel playing

Their recent favorite playing is a tunnel play. Firstly Leon starts to play with a toy going through the tunnel. Then Simba  stares at Leon playing and joins.

He punchs Leon's hip or head from outside of the tunnel and vise versa.

I'm more than happy to see them playing with each other.

Where is Simba

This morning, Simba didn't appear when I woke up. He showed after I was seeking him seriously for 3 mins. 

I didn't think he escaped from our cat proof home but just worried if he was sick.

He seemed OK then but I heard a cat is a professional of hiding deseases so I will look carefully of him.

Simba feels good?

We are not sure if Simba feels good or not. He is watching out for us especially Yuzo as I think he remembers that Yuzo caught him to take him to vet yesterday.

But at least he is not scared any more.

vet again

We took them to the vet for second time after they became our family members.

Yuzo caught Simba with a great effort at his study room. Simba did pee a bit when caught. But it was much faster than before so I think Yuzo successfully did this hard job in a timely manner which have Simba less stressed.

Leon got rabies vaccination for a booster. He was also checked if he has any organ issues. The result is no problem!

Simba also got a shot for rabies vaccination. The vet also gave him an examination by touch his stomach. I asked the vet for eye inflammation which often happens to him. He said its allergy. We have no idea of allergen but we washed the mat he usually used in a study room.

We also asked the vet for Simba getting nail crip, eye drop, revolution, and ear cleaning. It looked like Simba has allege not only eyes but also ears.

I asked if there was any good surppliment to cure the symptoms. Fish oil may help but the vet said the successful cases are only 10%.

After coming back home, Simba didn't move much staying under the table. He looked not get a bad mood this time!

long leave

I have been away for almost 2 weeks for holidays in Paris and business trip to Boston.

I was desperately missing them for no wonder.

I have found differences on them after I came back.

1: Leon and Simba got closer ever

      They sleep together not cuddle each other but close enough. Their distance is now 10- cm!

2: Both of them get closer to us ever! They stoke us whenever we move to other room.

3: Simba rubs his body against our legs.

He allows us to stroke his body without blush.

4: Simba sleeps on our bed!!!

5: Simba became playing with more toys!

They are sleeping together...

Kyoko wake up with hives all over the body. Taking an antihistamine made me feel better. Still feeling weak.
 

Cold look

Leon is always curious and keeps shining eyes on something. 

When we tried to have him posed 'Hooray' which was first time for us to force him in a cute pose, he gave us a cold look....

It seems they got bored during our leave.

The cat sitter found the garlic and onion basket on the kitchen floor. 

She is a cat professional that Simba didn't run away and even played with her.

I'm relieved and rely on her.

 

Curious cat, Simba

Simba became curious many things more and more. We believe he now getting his nature back little by little. He might be a bit mischievous. Not sure but whatever he is, we love him.

They are good friends

Simba and Leon become good friends. They play together several times everyday, running, fighting and chasing a bug.

Cat tower

Cat tower is one of their sleeping spots especially afternoon. Leon likes the higher position and Simba is always in the spacious place. This cat tower is placed by the window but they seems don't care about the outside.

Playing rough

They enjoy fighting with each other after dinner and at midnight.

Simba is strong enough to win always and still go easy so that Leon enjoyed it.

We like them playing together. One day, I wish I can see them cuddling each other.

Who vomittted on the coffee table?

New favorite place

We removed a box of shoes repair kit from the top of shoe box, it became their second favorite place to sleep.

The most favorite place is on the stool covered by our old bed sheets.

We found the cat tower is not so popular for them anymore but still they sleep on it.

We installed a webcam to watch them from my work place or anywhere via iPhone so that we are able to know how they spend time during daytime weekdays.

Purring and Walking

Leon is busy on playing with a toy, purring, walking, running, snuffing, cuddling, dancing, licking Simba and giving us love.

I think he is friendly by nature and it looks he didn't have any negative experiences with human beings. Or maybe he has but he is still nice to us.

I'm not so sure about his past. All I know is that he was rescued at construction site with his girlfriend and his/her babies when he was about the age of 6 months.

Whatever... We committed to his happy life. We are always thinking how we can make them happier and happier.

You are wonderful

Leon is friendly, affectionate and lovable. He teaches love to not only us but also Simba.

Without Leon, the distance between Simba and us would be bigger than it is now.

When we call his name, he always came towards us, walking and purring.

His cuteness is more than anything. I can't live without you, Leon.

Talkative inside

We are very quiet people but when it comes to cats, we are talkative inside.
Whenever we see them, we could hear our inner voice: "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Soooooo Cuuuuteeeee, Simbaaaa, Leonnnn, Let us hag you, kiss you and bite youuuuuu!!!! I love you so much that I cannot explain with wordssssss!!!!!"

I think Simba is the same. He is quiet but he wants a lot of things to do and wants attention. He's just not good at express himself. We'll always wait for him to learn more from Leon how to talk with your human. But we still love him as he is.

Unplanter

We saw something we didn't want to believe today. There are middle size of plant pots at the balcony. They went out and we are watching them which was for us always peaceful moment in weekend. Simba sniffed the pots as always.... And started digging the seedbed...and unplanted young plants of tomato and basil. Yuzo and I were looking forward to raise them...

We didn't react quickly but just watched Simba. We just thought he likes playing in the mud. If so, we would like to create a playground with mud for him. However he seemed .... doing pee!!!

Omg. We didn't scold him but silently removed the pots from the balcony...

What? I didn't do anything wrong.

Cat sitter

We met a cat sitter for the first time. We were impressed at her communication skills to cats. Leon checked her smell when she came in. She was calling his name gently and softly and just let him keep doing so.

After Leon got happy enough with her, she slowly went towards Simba calling his name.

Surprisingly he didn't run away.

During the session with her, she was sitting the chair that Simba was staying under. We became very comfortable of asking her to take care of them during our leave.

They are in a good mode after she left.

Night with them

Yuzo has a team dinner tonight.

I went to bed at 9 pm. Firstly, Leon came on to our bed.

After 5 mins, Simba entered our bed room. He stand with his hind foot peeping on the bed. I called his name and said 'come on, Simba' then he popped on!!

I felt so happy as both looked happy.

Yuzo seems having allergy to Haze

 

Bad stomach!

In the evening, we found Leon behaved wierdly and went to a litter box many times. I watched him and concerned if we should take him to a vet tonight. 

He went to the box more than 6-7 times and sometimes just digging the sand but not pee or poo.

He did poo 4 times and most of them were watery. Poo at the last 2 times were very small but he still tried to do poo.

However, it stopped after 30 mins!!!

We couldn't imagine the cause though...

He was still actively playing.

Dry food vs Wet food

We normally feed them  dry food in morning and wet food in evening. 

Eating only dry one lead bleeding when poos whereas only wet cause a bad tooth.

They like both but when it comes to wet food, they become pickier. Applause wet is one of their favorite. They like tuna as well. We often feed them boiledand threaded filet of Chicken Breast. They likes it a lot but when they didn't finish all, I keep it in fridge but they never eat it next day!

Matatabi > catnip

I received a parcel my mom sent to me from Japan. That contained several cat toys and Matatabi!

Matatabi is Japanese catnip and also used in Chinese Medicine. 

Simba really likes it and get crazy about it.

I think Leon like catnip more than Matatabi which is opposite of Simba.

I put Matatabi on my palm. He sniffed and started licking my palm. He licked and licked and licked....

He finally bite my palm softly but soon he realized it was not good so he moved apart from me a bit.

I love his hesitation as well as excitement on Matatabi:)

He knows how we react

Simba is not like Leon. He always stare at us when he wants our attention or food.

He waits for a couple of minutes on a same position. He often tells us with his back. When he wants the door open, he just stands there waiting.

His voice is really cute. When we prepare their food, He give us an eye contact and meow with high and small girlish voice.

Leon is lovable and playful.

He always show his honest desire toward us without any hesitation.

He has no boubt that he is a loved one.

Yes, of course he is.

How can we resist him???

We wish we had 24 hours only for him to play along but are afraid not. 

We're always sorry for that and hope he is still happy with us.

Rubbing against my body

Simba is getting used to us o think. In morning and evening, he comes close to me and rubs his body against my legs. While I'm sitting on the floor, he pressed his face to my back.

I'm happy whenever I see him getting relaxed and felt good with human beings.

I love them to the moon and back

Recently, they became more and more having desire to play with us. I wake up early not only because Leon wake me up but also for studying. However my study time turned into playing time with them. 

Today I wake up at 4:00 am and soon started entertaining them.

I spontaneously did so as they are so cute and I think it's owner's responsibility to not bore them. I think living only at home is safe but sometimes boring.

Thank you, Leon and Simba to come to our life. You add lots of color our everydays life.

Never get tired

Leon is very playful. He is  1 year + old so is quite young.

We tried to play with him, waving a string and a toy or kicking a felt ball as long as we can. However it seems he never get tired nor fed up with it. 

We often spend time entertaining both Leon and Simba for more than 2 hours. Simba's mind get focused on some other things or he became rather to want to watch Leon after a while but Leon still get fancied by a toy.

He often sneak into a storage room to pick up a toy we always hide from him because the toy is too attractive for him.

He get crazy on the toy that my mum sent us from Japan. The toys are made of real rabbit fur that probably smells yummy for him.

Besides our bed

They are sleeping next to our bed besides the window.

We were having a nap on last Sunday and still they came to our bed room and slept with us. They don't snuggle each other but stay in a confortable distance.

Picky Eater

Simba is really picky on food. He only eats what he is in the mood to eat. Yesterday, he love beef but not today.

He also eats a bit at a time. He likes to have small meal many times a day.

In comparison, Leon eats anything we prepare. He tend to eat a lot but it is easy to control his diet. When we don't want him to continue to eat, we just need to take his attention to toys.

I only eat what I want. What's wrong with it?

Lick lick lick

Leon's love seem to have reached to Simba. Simba used to allow less than 10 licking and now Leon blush Simba's forehead more than 40 times! It's a big progress!

We love Tuna!

Pet lovers shop brand wet food, Apprause, is their favorite. Tuna is the best. I ate it once and it taste really good for not only cat but also human being.

Bald spot

Leon's bee bite became a bald spot.

He always seems in a merry mood, walking with his tail held high in the air.

Since Simba often changes his mood, Leon's stable feeling is appreciated.

I wish we could see Simba in a good mode everyday some day.

Timid or fearless?

Yuzo waved a bed sheet on the presence of Simba and he was scared, running away under the bed. Yuzo was working from home today so Simba spent most of time there. However he was sitting on the bed sheet when I came back home.

 

He seems very careful about our behavior but ..,

The bed sheet was used when catching him....

Anyway, he eats and plays a lot so everything's gonna be all right in next couple of days, I think.

Simba is a bit scared of us today after seeing Yuzo waving a towel. He might remember last Sunday when he was caught with a big towel for taking him a vet.

We feed them dry food in morning and wet food at night.

They lost weight a bit after becoming our family. 

They love tuna and chicken. Simba is a bit picky than Leon who is always curious on food.

Simba finally to vet

It was a tough day today. Simba is very sensitive to our feelings. He seems be able to read what we are thinking. 

When Yuzo began thinking about taking him to a vet, he suddenly became to watch out of us. Simba run away several times but Yuzo caught him at last.

He was so scared at a vet, being frozen. Unlike Leon who was mewing most of the time on a cab and at the vet, Simba didn't say anything but freaking out. 

After coming back home, he run to under our bed and stayed there till dinner time.

He became relaxed at night so we are really releaf.

Leon's love towards us

Today I was shocked at photos of a ginger tabby cat whose eyes and all the teeth were pulled out by an evil-like human in Kuala Lumpur.

I was crying laying down on the floor. Leon came to me and sneaked into my one peice. He snuggled inside. I felt his warm furry body onto my chest and belly. I was still crying and he was just staying there doing nothing. 

I can't express with my words how big his love is.  Animals teaches us lots of things.
